Jamie Alimorad, jazz/pop voice
Jamie Alimorad's unique vocal-centric, genre fusing music has propelled him to worldwide acclaim. Originally from Harrison, NY, Alimorad pursued his degree in Music Technology at Northeastern University, where he began his career as a solo artist. He quickly became one of Boston’s most popular college acts, culminating with Alimorad being selected by the University, and his class, to perform the National Anthem on Northeastern Night at Fenway Park.
While concluding his studies, Alimorad wrote and recorded his first two albums, Cornerstone and Words Left Unsaid. The hit ballad “Beautiful” saw Alimorad become a viral sensation - accumulating more than 2 million views on YouTube. Other singles such as “What You Have,” “She Is…,” “Dancing With You,” “That’s What She Said,” and “Crawling Back To Me” received domestic and international radio play.
Alimorad’s breakthrough album, This Is Tomorrow Calling, saw the singer team up with Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Gino Vannelli. The singles, ”Not Ready To Say Goodbye" and "Brighter Days” (both produced by Grammy nominee Ross Vannelli) each climbed to the top 10 of the New Music Weekly Hot 100, and earned nominations for Best Pop Song and Best Male Vocal in the Hollywood Music In Media Awards. “Brighter Days” won the Overall Grand Prize of the 24th Annual USA Songwriting Competition. He also received 2 New Music Awards nominations – AC New Artist of the Year and AC Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Alimorad partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the “Brighter Days” music video - featuring footage from the Out of The Darkness Walk in Santa Monica, CA where he both participated, and performed.
Touring behind This Is Tomorrow Calling began with a concert opening for Gino Vannelli at The Saban Theatre (Beverly Hills, CA). Additional dates included a headlining showcase at SXSW (Austin, TX), The Listening Room (Nashville, TN), and a featured spot in the Composer's Showcase (Las Vegas, NV). International coverage of the album included a live broadcast on 94.1 FM in Melbourne, Australia before the tour halted due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
Following This Is Tomorrow Calling, Alimorad paired with Ross Vannelli as producer and co-songwriter for a series of singles released throughout 2022. The first single, "Give a Little Lovin’," hit #1 on the New Music Weekly Indie Top 40 Chart for 20 weeks (17 consecutively), and the Indie Hot AC Chart.
